While some European airports are highly interested in the commercial uplift potential of new big data tools or pricing methods others struggle with privacy concerns and customers‘ acceptance. Dr. Friesen presented the findings of his study on the factors that determine the parking provision offered at the 10 largest European airports.

At the 21st Air Transport Research Society (ATRS) World Conference on July 7, 2017 in Antwerp, Dr. Friesen , together with Prof. Wilfred Manuela of the Asian Institute of Management, presented the findings of their joint study on the factors that influence the parking spaces offered at the ten largest airports in Europe.
