Dr. Mark Friesen
Dr. Mark Friesen is the founder and managing partner of QUINTA Consulting. He possesses more than 15 years of professional and consulting experience in the area of “pricing”. Before founding QUINTA Consulting, Dr. Friesen was the head of pricing and revenue management of an international mobility group. Prior to that, he served as a project manager at the largest European airline in Frankfurt and Brussels.
After his banking apprenticeship and business studies in Oestrich-Winkel, Chicago and Madrid, Dr. Friesen earned his Ph.D. on “Perceived Price Fairness” at the University of St. Gallen. His dissertation was sponsored by a doctoral scholarship of the Erich-Becker-Foundation and recognized by an award of the Swiss Association of Market and Social Researchers.
Since 2010, Dr. Friesen has held lecturing positions for marketing and pricing at the University of St. Gallen, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the Management Center Innsbruck. Furthermore, he is a frequent speaker at international pricing conferences and has published his research in several peer-reviewed pricing journals. He is also a board member of the European Pricing Platform (EPP) in the DACH region.
