What affects parking fees at airports? Study by Asian Institute of Management and QUINTA Consulting

A study from the Asian Institute of Management and QUINTA Consulting examines the most important factors influencing parking fees at airports. Data from 2011 to 2019 for the ten largest European airports was analyzed.

The analysis shows that the number of passengers and parking spaces as well as parking fees have a significantly positive impact on the amount of parking revenue at an airport. The study also analyzes how the population in an airport’s catchment, alternative parking options and the availability of public transport influence the number of parking spaces.

The Diffusion of Dynamic Pricing in the European Parking Industry
