Our contribution to the EAC Research Day 2025 in Warsaw was accepted by the scientific committee of the European Aviation Conference (EAC). The article “Determinants of Airport Parking Revenues in Europe” examines the factors influencing parking management and revenues at the ten largest European airports.
Based on data from 2011 to 2019, the study shows that passenger volume, the number of parking spaces, and parking fees have a positive impact on revenues. Conversely, alternative travel options such as bus connections or external parking facilities tend to reduce the demand for parking spaces.
Dr. Friesen commented on the acceptance of the contribution by the conference committee: “This confirms the relevance of the topic and once again underscores the strong practical focus of our work in the area of Airport Landside Access Strategy.”
