On November 24, 2026, the Kompetenzforum Parken will take place for the 22nd time in Würzburg, Germany. This year, Dr. Friesen has been invited by the Verband Parken e.V. to give a presentation exploring current applications and challenges surrounding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the parking and mobility industry. Among other topics, the presentation will address what AI actually means for parking and how these technologies can already be applied in practice today. Drawing on a range of international use cases, Dr. Friesen will highlight potential applications ranging from AI-supported pricing and license plate recognition to multilingual speech recognition.
Another key focus of the presentation will be QUINTA Consulting’s “AI Reality Check.” A recent survey provides insights into the current state of AI adoption across the European parking industry.
